It’s finally here the newly renovated Everyman


It has stood for 90 years and welcomed cinema goers year after year and now the Grade II listed art deco Odeon has undergone a renovation by the new lease holder Everyman. 

This Saturday will see the opening of the newly refreshed Odeon. 

The £3m refurbishment will see the Everyman signature sofa seating, beautiful house bar & Spielburger restaurant as well as four spectacular auditoria equipped with Barco Digital Projectors and Dolby 7.1 sound. And for those worried that the Art Deco style will have been lost by the development will be happy to know that the art deco style has been kept alive and well. 


The 4- screen cinema will be the latest in a line of Grade 2 listed developments for Everyman and its CEO Crispin Lilly.

“We are truly delighted to be opening in York, our third Yorkshire cinema, after Harrogate and Leeds. We hope that York will enjoy our cinema, our food and beverage, as well as the customer service that we put at the heart of our offering, delivered by a strong team lead by Manager Hannah Holmes.”

The new York cinema took 15 weeks to fit out and cost £3m to fully transform

Tickets will be available on a Saturday night will cost £13.50.
