A 28 year old man has been critically injured in Acomb after being stabbed in his abdomen. Police have arrested a man linked with the stabbing.
it is believed that a kitchen knife was used to stab the man in his abdomen shortly after 2am on Saturday evening, on Stuart Road. The victim is being treated in Leeds General Infirmary where his condition is "critical but stable".
The arrested man is 39 years old from Acomb and he was arrested this morning and remains in police custody. The property on Stuart Road is now cordoned off whilst police carry out their investigations.
Officers have been searching the area around the property for the weapon used in the attack and they have appealed to anyone in the area who sees a discarded knife to contact them immediately.
