North Yorkshire police are worried for the wellbeing of a missing Selby man.
William Notley who is 57 was believed to be at home at 1pm in Buller Street when he last spoke to his wife on the telephone. However since then he has not be seen or heard from.
Inspector Andy Haigh, who is coordinating the search, said: "William, if you see or hear this appeal, I urge you to get in touch with your wife straight away as she is desperate to know that you are safe and well.
North Yorkshire Police said Mr Notley had missed an an appointment he was due to attend, and they were concerned about his health. His whereabouts are currently unknown, and police say he could be anywhere in the country.
Furthermore Inspector Haigh stated that "If you would prefer to speak to a police officer please get in touch with us and we will reassure your wife about your welfare. I am also keen to speak to anyone who has seen Mr Notley, or knows where is now, and ask them to get in touch with the police as soon as possible."
Mr Notley is a white approximately 5ft 6in tall He has a slim build and brown hair. Police said he may be wearing a brown striped polo shirt, blue jeans and brown trainers.
