Town Centre Jewellry burglary

Police in Selby are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a burglary at a town centre jewellers. Thieves entered the jewellers on Gowthorpe in the town centre between 8pm and 9pm yesterday evening before making off with a number of items from the store's window display.

Police say extensive enquiries into the incident remain ongoing at this time. Forensic examinations have been made of the scene and police are analysing CCTV footage from the area.  

Police are appealing for any suspicious individuals or vehicles seen in and around Gowthorpe around the time of the incident or in recent days, please call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1, and pass information to the Force Control Room. Or email YorkCID@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
